The power plugs and sockets in chile, are of type C and L. When living in the United States of America you will need a power plug adapter for sockets type C and L. You should consider a combined plug adapter/voltage converter, or we got some available.

Booking & Payment

• To secure your reservation, we ask for a 50% deposit per angler within 10 days of booking. Please note that 25% of the total package is non-refundable. We primarily work with wire transfers or PayPal — if paying by credit card or PayPal, a 2.5% surcharge applies. Full payment is due 90 days before your trip departure.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to work with you. The following policy applies at the time of booking and will be confirmed in your reservation agreement:

• 90+ days before departure — 75% refund, or full credit toward another date.
• 60–89 days before departure — 50% refund, or 75% credit toward another date.
• 30–59 days before departure — 25% refund, or 50% credit toward another date.
• Less than 30 days before departure — No refund. Deposit and payments are non-refundable.

Trip Insurance — Highly Recommended

• Since deposits and final payments become non-refundable within 30 days of departure, we strongly encourage all our guests to purchase trip insurance. Life happens — and having the right coverage means you’re protected if you ever need to cancel, postpone, or reschedule for any reason.

Staying connected while on the road is no longer a concern. All our accommodations have internet access, and most are equipped with Starlink. On top of that, we always carry a Starlink Mini on every trip — so no matter how remote the destination, you can count on a reliable connection whenever you need it.

Our Coyhaique lodges offer full laundry service, so you can keep your gear fresh throughout your stay. For more remote locations like the Baker River, Cerro Castillo, and Cascada Park, laundry service isn’t always guaranteed — but in most cases we can arrange it. Just let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to sort it out for you.

For most visitors, the short answer is no. Chile welcomes tourists from the vast majority of countries without requiring a visa — upon arrival, you’ll receive a tourist card that allows you to stay for up to 90 days, with the option to extend if needed.

For U.S. citizens, entry is straightforward and visa-free. You’ll simply need a valid passport and your tourist card, and you’re good to go — no additional paperwork required.

Keep in mind that requirements can vary depending on your nationality, so we always recommend double-checking with your local Chilean consulate before traveling, just to make sure everything is in order.

Medical treatment in private hospitals in Santiago and other major cities is comparable to top international levels. Before you leave for Chile, check with your existing health insurance on their coverage of international travel, or get additional insurance. Private hospitals will recognize credit cards as a guarantee. All drugs are available, and most doctors speak English. Appropriate medical care can be more difficult to get in rural hospitals or at First Aid posts.

Both are welcome, and honestly, either will do the job. That said, felt is our personal favorite — it grips wet rocks like nothing else and makes wading significantly more confident and safe. Rubber soles are a solid alternative, though they can get slippery on wet surfaces, so just keep that in mind.

If you don’t have wading boots, no need to stress — we have boots available for you to use on the trip.

One thing to note: cleats and studded soles are not allowed on our boats, so please leave those at home.
